RAK Ceramics appoints Jasem Alkhateri as CHRO
RAK Ceramics, a leading tiles and sanitaryware manufacturer, has appointed Jasem Alkhateri as its Chief Human Resources Officer, with immediate effect.
Jasem shared the news on LinkedIn, saying, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at RAK Ceramics!”

Jasem is an influential HR leader admired for his significant impact on the community and his efforts in addressing key challenges related to people and workplaces. He frequently shares his knowledge on building high-performance teams, driving cultural change, fostering employee engagement, and developing effective solutions for complex business challenges. He is a strong advocate for creating a workplace where people feel valued for their skills and potential to drive growth and innovation.
Jasem has over 25 years of HR leadership experience across the telecommunications, mining, and government sectors. He most recently served at Emirates Steel Arkan for around eight years in key roles, including Group Chief People Officer, CHRO, and Vice President of Human Capital & Services. Previously, he worked with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development as the HR Director and at Etisalat in various roles.
In his new role, Jasem will be responsible for spearheading the company’s HR function across all regions, including its affiliates. He will lead the HR team to manage diverse activities such as leadership development, reshaping HR processes, enhancing work culture and employee engagement, improving HR policies, and organisational transformation. He will also oversee global HR functions across six countries, including India, for a workforce of around 15,000 employees.

Jasem will work closely with the company's Chairman - Sheikh Saqr Bin Saud Al Qasimi, Group CEO - Abdallah Massaad, and the Board of Directors to align the people agenda with organisational goals.
Jasem also holds exceptional academic background, with an Executive MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from United Arab Emirates University. He also has a CIPD Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and completed an executive program in HR Strategy, Organisational Transformation, and HR Development from London Business School. Additionally, he holds several key certifications, including HR Strategy in Transforming Organisations from London Business School, Storytelling in Recruitment and Employee Retention, Change Management, EQ, Organisational Design, HR Business Partnering, and Strategic Workforce Planning from LinkedIn Learning Institute.
