Schneider Electric's Reem Alghasim joins Signify as Head of HR

Signify, a global electronics manufacturer, has appointed Reem Alghasim as the Head of Human Resources in Saudi Arabia, effective March 2024.

In her new role, Reem brings over a decade of HR leadership experience. Most recently, she served as the Human Resources Business Partner at Schneider Electric in Riyadh. She joined Schneider in 2019 and held key positions including MEA Regional HR Lead, Cluster Engagement Leader, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Cluster Lead. Prior to this, she gained experience with Airbus, Renault Trucks, OVHcloud, Bedard Resources, and Pride Canada Holding Inc.

On the academic front, Reem holds an MSc degree in International Human Resource Management & Organizational Development from Grenoble School of Management, an MSc in Management (DESMA Grande École Program) from Grenoble School of Management, and a bachelor's degree in Public Management and Human Resources from the University of Quebec in Montreal. She also completed an Executive Leadership program (digital transformation) from INSEAD. Her core competencies include, design thinking, human-centric approach, workforce planning, labour and employement law, personnel managament, strategic HR, human capital, talent management and retention, recruitment, and employee relations.

Announcing her transition to her new role last week, Reem shared on LinkedIn, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of HR Saudi at Signify!” 

Earlier this month, she announced her exit from Schneider Electric, posting, “After 5 enriching years at Schneider Electric, I'm embarking on a new adventure. I'm deeply thankful for the growth, opportunities, and the wonderful people I've met along the way. This farewell is not a goodbye but a transition to the next chapter, where I look forward to even more achievements and learning. Stay tuned for what’s coming next!
