DGHR Department unveils future of HR report

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has released its latest report on 'Navigating Tomorrow's HR in Dubai: Major Drivers and Future Trends in HRM’, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance and advance HR practices in the region.

The report, which aligns with the national strategies of the Emirate and the vision of the forward-thinking Vice President and Prime Minister, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to transform Dubai into a global hub for innovation and creativity and strengthen DGHR’s commitment to enhancing HR practices across the region.

The report predicts future needs, challenges, and expectations within Dubai's HR sector, underlining a strategic roadmap that includes solutions, proposals, and tools designed to empower and motivate both national cadres and global talents. It highlights the importance of forging strategic partnerships with both government and private sectors and underscores the significance of sustainable development and community well-being. Additionally, it analyses ongoing and emerging trends and key drivers of HR transformation in the region, providing a nuanced overview of the existing HR framework. Furthermore, the report includes recommendations and contributions from regional HR leaders and experts, addressing new opportunities and challenges as HR and talent professionals navigate the future. It aims to fortify regional HR management and stand out as a global leader in HR innovation, with a focus on technological innovations, government policies, economic growth, globalisation, and inflation. It discusses how these forces impact HR strategies and practices and offers recommendations for adapting to maintain high standards.

It also seeks to offer suggestions that will strengthen the position of the sector in Dubai's government organisations, thereby enhancing the Emirate's competitiveness worldwide. This includes addressing important factors that affect HR, enhancing talent attraction and retention strategies, improving learning and development practices, integrating cutting-edge technology into human resource management, and elevating the employee experience within government entities.”
