Archer appoints Dr. Talib Alhinai as Head of UAE
Archer Aviation has appointed Dr. Talib Alhinai as its UAE Lead, effective immediately.
Dr. Talib brings nearly 20 years of leadership experience to this role. He currently sits on the Board of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). Previously, he has held impactful roles such as Director of Strategy at the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company, and Founder of Buildrone. He has also been involved with several prestigious initiatives, including the Young Leaders Circle MENA by the Milken Institute, the Dubai IDE & MIT REAP as a Core Member with The Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Analyst for the UAE Embassy UK's Office of the Cultural Attaché, and Solar Engineer at Masdar.
Dr. Talib holds a Ph.D. in Aerial Robotics from Imperial College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering from the University of Manchester. In his new role, Dr. Talib will be responsible for leading Archer’s electric air taxis in the region and will play a key role in guiding the new consortium led by ADIO.
Welcoming Dr Talib on the leadership team, Nikhil Goel, Archer’s Chief Commercial Officer said, “As a leader who worked to advance Abu Dhabi’s strategic and executive plans in the service of its Executive Council led by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed, Dr. Alhinai will be instrumental as we work towards our launch across the UAE, starting in Abu Dhabi as soon as next year. His background in aerial robotics and his expertise in aviation and national policy will help accelerate our launch of air taxi services in the region.”
