CNTXT appoints Hathal Al-Bahli as Chief Human Resources Officer

CNTXT, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Cognite, has appointed Hathal Al-Bahli as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, effective immediately.

Announcing the move, Al-Bahli shared: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at CNTXT!”

With more than two decades of HR leadership experience in the oil and gas industry, Al-Bahli began his career at Saudi Aramco in 2002 as an HR advisor. Over the years, he advanced into senior roles across the group’s subsidiaries and affiliates. He most recently served as HR Consultant for over seven years and held HR Director positions at Mukamalah (Aloula Aviation) and ARO Drilling.

Academically, Al-Bahli holds a master’s degree in HR Management and Personnel Administration from the University of Technology Sydney and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. His areas of expertise include HR policies, human capital strategy, leadership development, HR transformation, and employee lifecycle management.

Al-Bahli is expected to succeed Waleed Othman, who has been serving as CHRO since 2022, although no official confirmation has yet been provided by the company or Othman. 

Othman serves as the architech behind CNTXT’s human resources strategy, ensuring right talent drives its business goals and ambitions forward. Previously, he empowered a number of Saudi Aramco joint-venture organisations with comprehensive HR programs over the years and is passionate about creating a culture that empowers employees to achieve their full potential.
