Sohar International appoints Eng. Aisha Al-Saifi as Chief Transformation Officer
Sultanate of Oman’s leading bank, Sohar International, has appointed Aisha Al-Saifi as the Chief Transformation Officer, with immediate effect.
The bank shared, “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Eng. Aisha Al-Saifi to Sohar International’s Executive Management Team as the Chief Transformation Officer.
Eng. Aisha brings with her extensive international experience in business development, project management, and the development of integrated value propositions, alongside hands-on expertise in the strategic management of multidisciplinary organizations. We warmly welcome her to the Sohar International family and look forward to embarking on a new era of growth and excellence in the banking sector.”
Giving a brief on Al-Saifi’s leadership journey, the bank added, “Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership roles at Royal HaskoningDHV, ASYAD Group, and the Nazdaher Program. Her global exposure includes leading major infrastructure and economic strategy projects, as well as restructuring operating models to drive organizational transformation.”
Most recently, she served at Oman’s government establishment — the Oman National Program for Private Sector & Foreign Trade Development — as the Director of Oman Nation Brand Identity.

On the academic front, Al-Saifi holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Sultan Qaboos University, a master’s degree in engineering for international development from University College London, and is a Chevening Scholar. She also completed the National Collaborative Leadership Programme from the Royal Academy of Management, along with other key certifications.
Recently, the bank also appointed Abdulwahid Al Murshidi as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Ahmed Al Musalmi. Al Musalmi was appointed Governor of the Central Bank of Oman following approval from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in January 2025.
