Dubai DET appoints Dr. Marwan Alzarouni as CEO of AI

The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has announced the appointment of Dr. Marwan Alzarouni as CEO of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Joining his new role, Dr. Marwan brings a wealth of leadership advisory expertise. His appointment is part of the 22 Chief AI Officers recently appointed across Dubai Government organisations. He will spearhead the goals of Dubai’s AI Blueprint, which focuses on enhancing the quality of life for Dubai residents and further elevating the experiences of its visitors.

In his other roles, Dr Marwan serves as Strategic Advisor to Dubai Digital, CEO at Dubai Blockchain Center, Managing Partner at Accelliance, and co-founder of First Crypto DMCC. In his previous roles, he worked with OTC Supply as the CEO and MySecured Inc. as the Owner.

On the academic front, Dr. Marwan holds a Doctor of IT degree in Smartphone Forensics and an MSc degree in Information Security & Intelligence from Edith Cowan University. He also holds a BSc degree in Aviation Computer Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His core competencies include information security management, computer forensics, computer security, digital forensics, information security, research, risk assessment, IT, network security, and consulting.
