EDB appoints Mohammed Nadim Maldar as Director - Head of Rewards
Emirates Development Bank, the UAE’s leading bank, has appointed Mohammed Nadim Maldar as the Director and Head of Rewards, effective from July 2024.
In his new role, Nadim brings over 18 years of HR leadership experience across the UAE’s banking sector. He most recently worked with Al Hilal Bank as the Senior Manager - Head of Talent Acquisition & Outsourcing Management. In his previous roles, he served Dubai Islamic Bank as the Lead Manager of Performance Management, Ajman Bank as the HR Generalist (Officer - L&D, OD, Comp & Ben, and Performance Management) Lead role, and Barclays Bank as the Country Trainer for various segments. He also worked with Citigroup at the beginning of his career.
On the academic front, Nadim holds a BA degree in Economics from R D National College, Bandra, Mumbai, and an MBA degree in Management of Banking and HR from Kazian Education. He also holds certifications in Transformational Change and Strategic Leadership, PMP, Quality Management, Change Management, Organisational Culture Master, and Emotional Intelligence from leading institutes.

Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Nadim posted, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Director, Head of Rewards at Emirates Development Bank (EDB)!” He will be responsible for total rewards strategies, compensation & benefits, performance management, organisational design, and talent acquisition and management for EDB.
