Ejada appoints Mishaal Al Obaid as CHRO

Saudi Arabia’s leading IT company, Ejada, has appointed Mishaal Al Obaid as the Chief Human Resources Officer, with immediate effect.  

Mishaal shared, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at EJADA!”

In his new role, Mishaal brings over 15 years of HR leadership experience across the banking and investment sectors. He will be overseeing Ejada’s Human Capital Management agenda, HR strategies, leadership development, and people initiatives, while working closely with the bank's executive leadership team. 

Mishaal most recently served at Al Rajhi Bank as the Assistant General Manager of HRBP & Talent Development and at Tanfeeth as a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Under his guidance, Al Rajhi Bank received an award from LinkedIn for being among the top 25% of talent acquisition teams globally. 

Naif Al-Omari, the bank’s Talent Acquisition Director, extended his best wishes to Mishaal and his team, stating, “This achievement is a culmination of the team’s efforts and a reinforcement of its continued commitment to attracting talent, which is critical to the success and growth of the Bank. Prior to Al Rajhi Bank, Mishaal worked with neoleap as Chief People Officer and with Tanfeeth as CHRO. He began his career with Rukn Al-Madaen Establishment in 2010 and later joined Al Rajhi Bank, serving in key roles to foster a performance-driven culture that supports the bank's business goals.

On the academic front, Mishaal holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and management information systems from Al Yamama University. He is a certified HR professional from Meirc Training & Consulting and the International Academy of Business and Financial Management.

As a qualified CIPD professional, Mishaal holds key competencies in training and development, diversity & inclusion, executive development, HR consulting, employee rewards, and HR transformation.  

Working alongside Mishaal are Merei Algarni, who has been serving as the Head of HR, overseeing HR strategies for the past seven years, and Bijuman Jacob, who recently joined as Head of HR for India Operations. Bijuman will oversee the overall strategy, operations, and growth of the India Competency Centre. He will also be responsible for implementing effective people practices across Ejada's global competency centres.
