M42 appoints Dr Summia Zaher as CEO

M42, a leading healthtech company, has appointed Dr. Summia Zaher as the new Chief Executive Officer of Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children, effective immediately.

In her new role, Dr. Summia brings around 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She joined Danat Al Emarat Hospital in 2023 as the Medical Director and will continue to lead the healthcare firm’s growth and innovation across the GCC. In her previous roles, she worked as a Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University and as a Consultant Obstetrician and Obstetric Lead at the University Hospital of Wales.

On the academic front, Dr. Summia holds an MBBS degree from the University of Dundee, a Doctor of Medicine from Imperial College London, and a postgraduate degree in Clinical Leadership from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. She also qualified for the MRCOG in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.
