MUFG EMEA names Yoshi Katsuda as Regional Head for Middle East

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) has announced the appointment of Yoshi Katsuda as Regional Head for the Middle East, effective September 20, 2024.

In his new role, Yoshi brings a wealth of leadership experience, having joined the group over 25 years ago. He has played a pivotal role in the growth and expansion of MUFG in Japan and EMEA throughout his career. Most recently, he served as Head of the Global Corporate Banking Office in the GCIB Planning Division in Tokyo and as Head of Business Strategy Management at the DIFC Branch until 2021.

Taking over responsibilities from Yohsuke Takahashi, Yoshi will oversee Middle East operations from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) office, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and bespoke financing solutions tailored to the region’s requirements. He will report directly to Hidefumi Yamamura, Regional Executive for MUFG EMEA.

Welcoming Yoshi to his new role, Hidefumi Yamamura, MUFG EMEA Regional Executive, said, “I am delighted to have Yoshi take up this post to lead the team in MENA. This region remains a globally important centre of client business, and I am sure he will continue to strengthen and grow our success here.”
