Qimam Assarat appoints Dr Sattam Al-Sawat as CEO
Qimam Assarat, the investment development arm of the Aseer Region Municipality, has appointed Dr. Sattam bin Awad Al-Sawat as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 2025.
Al-Sawat brings over two decades of leadership experience to his new role. He most recently served as CEO of Anan Real Estate and, prior to that, held the same position at Al Ajlan Group.
In other key roles, he has also worked with Saudi German Hospitals, Dallah Health, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Emaar, and Dubai Airports.
As CEO of Qimam Assarat, Al-Sawat will lead the company’s strategic efforts to position the Aseer region as a prime destination for domestic and international investment, as shared on LinkedIn.
The company also shared a brief about him: “He has over 25 years of experience in real estate company management, asset management, and wealth management, in addition to overseeing investment funds specializing in the real estate sector in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries.
He has a proven track record of leading and developing effective investment strategies, with extensive experience in dealing with sovereign funds and maximizing returns from real estate assets.”

Al-Sawat holds an exceptional academic background, with a PhD in Asset Management, a master’s in Financial Analysis, a master’s in Workforce Management from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from King Saud University.
He is also a Certified Trainer in Corporate Governance, Governance & Compliance, and Securities Listing Requirements from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
