SAFE appoints Waleed Almasri as CHRO

SAFE, a leading Security Consultancy & Advisory firm, has appointed Waleed Almasri as the Chief Human Resources Officer, effective from January 2025.

Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Waleed posted, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at SAFE!"

In his new role, Waleed brings around 28 years of HR leadership experience across key sectors in KSA, including F&B, Engineering, Defense & Space, HR services, Finance & Insurance, and Real Estate. He will be responsible for designing and implementing key HR and people initiatives for the company’s workforce. He will work closely with Chief Executive Officer Turki Matooq Al Thonayan to align the company's growth and expansion strategy with its people strategy.

Most recently, he worked with Egis as the HR and Business Support Director and was also a member of the company’s board.

In his previous roles, Waleed served Coursinity, an HR solutions company, as the L&D and Solutions Development Director, Pure Beverages Company as the HR Director, Alalamiya as the HR & Admin Director, and Al Raha Group for Technical Services as the Group HR and Admin Manager. At the beginning of his career, he worked with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, JPMorgan Chase, Emaar, and Saudi Airlines Catering Company.

Academically, Waleed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, along with strong competencies in organisational development, change management, performance improvement, employee relations, leadership, HR policies, financial services, strategic HR, and HR transformation.
