SALS Logistics appoints Omar Hariri as new CEO

SAL Saudi Logistics Services Company has announced the appointment of Omar Talal Jamal Hariri as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

In his new role, Omar brings over two decades of leadership experience. He succeeds Faisal AlBedah, who stepped down from the position last month. This is Omar’s second tenure with the company, as he previously served as CEO from January 2020 to July 2021. Most recently, he worked with the Saudi Ports Authority as President and also served as a Board Member of the Saudi Red Sea Authority, the National Transportation Safety Center, and Saudi Exports.

Omar's prior experience includes roles as CEO of Saudia Cargo, Managing Director at FedEx Express, and Vice President Commercial for KSA and Country Manager for Kuwait at DHL Express. He has also served as a Cargo Advisory Council Member for the International Air Transport Association and as Chairman of the SkyTeam Cargo Executive Board. In 2023, he was recognised by Forbes as one of the most powerful CEOs in the Middle East.

On the academic front, Omar holds a Master of Science degree in Procurement, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management from the University of Salford, along with several other professional certifications.
