Faisal AlBedah steps down as SAL Saudi Logistics’s MD & CEO
SAL Saudi Logistics Services, a leading transportation and logistics company, has announced the resignation of its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Faisal Saad Abdullah Albedah, effective from September 19, 2024.
Faisal, who joined the company in 2022, cited 'pursuing his career' as the reason for stepping down from the role. However, he has not yet announced his next career move. SAL Logistics has also confirmed that it will appoint a new or interim CEO soon. In an official filing on the Saudi stock market, the company stated: "The Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Faisal Saad Abdullah Albedah, on 19/09/2024 corresponding to 16/03/1446H. The Board extends its thanks and appreciation to Mr. Faisal for his efforts during his tenure with the company since 2022, wishing him continued success. The company will announce the appointment of a new or interim CEO in due course."
Before joining SAL Logistics, Faisal served as Secretary-General and CEO of the Saudi Export Development Authority. Prior to that, he held roles such as Secretary-General for the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, Advisor to the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Deputy Governor for Trade Facilitation, and Executive Advisor and Head of the Trade Facilitation Office at Saudi Customs. He also worked as Supply Chain Director for Diaverum and Senior Supply Chain Manager at Baxter International. Faisal has further experience with Saudi Industrial Investment Group, Jadwa Investment, Arabian Health Care Supply Company, and GE Healthcare.

Academically, Faisal holds an MBA from Prince Sultan University and a bachelor's degree in accounting from King Saud University. He has also completed several certifications, including the Management Acceleration Program from INSEAD, the High Performance Program from IMD, and Certified Accounting Technician certification from ACCA. In 2023, he was listed among the most powerful CEOs in the Middle East by Forbes, and Powerful CEO in the KSA logistics sector 2024.
