Meeza appoints Mohamed Ali al-Ghaithani as Chief Executive Officer
Meeza, a leading IT services and consultancy firm based in Qatar, has announced the appointment of Mohamed Ali al-Ghaithani as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Al-Ghaithani takes over from Mohsin Nasser al-Marri, who has been serving as acting CEO since October 2023, following the resignation of Eng. Ahmad Abdulla Al-Muslemani.
In his new role, Al-Ghaithani brings around 20 years of leadership experience across the IT services, manufacturing, agriculture, and marketing sectors. He will be responsible for spearheading the company's next phase of innovation and growth, leading several teams including strategy, IT services, corporate, commercial, and finance.
In his previous roles, Al-Ghaithani worked with Hassad Food in key positions such as General Manager of Mahaseel Marketing and Agri-Services, Director of Corporate Support, and Director of the Information Technology Department. He has also served on the Board of Directors for various companies, including the Arab Qatari Agricultural Production Company, the National Food Manufacturing Company, and the Gulf Mushroom Production Company. Additionally, he held leadership roles at Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation early in his career.
On the academic front, he holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Salford, a BSc in Computer Science from Qatar University, and an associate degree in Organisational Leadership from Qatar Leadership Center. He also holds certifications in strategic planning, IT strategic management, and IT services.
