Takeda appoints Jala Ashraf as Head of HR for EAMEA regions
Takeda, a global pharmaceutical manufacturer, has appointed Jala Ashraf as the Head of Human Resources for Eurasia, Middle East & Africa, effective immediately.
This appointment is an elevation of Jala’s role, as she has been serving as the Head of HR for Ukraine, Middle East & Africa since April 2023. She joined the company in 2017 and has held key positions, including Head of HR for the Middle East and HR Business Partner for Egypt, over the past seven years.
Jala is a creative, results- and people-oriented HR leader. She brings a wealth of HR expertise across the Middle East region. In previous roles, she worked with Chalhoub Group and Alcon in key positions.

On the academic front, Jala holds a BBA in Business Management from Ain Shams University and a Post Diploma in HR Management from The American University in Cairo. She also has certifications in Global Leadership and Management from Yale School of Management and the International Institute for Management Development, and in Fostering Inclusion and Diversity from Yale School of Management. Her core competencies include employee relations, engagement, DEI, performance management, salary surveys, HR policies, performance evaluation, and compensation and benefits.
Announcing her new role on LinkedIn, Jala posted, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Human Resources EAMEA (Eurasia, Middle East & Africa) at Takeda!," receiving numerous felicitations from her network.
