H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, has announced a series of decisions on appointing new Chief Executive Officers for Dubai Government entities.
According to the decisions, the following appointments have been made:
- Issam Abdulrahim Kazim has been appointed as CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
- Mohammed Abdullah Shael AlSaadi has been named CEO of Dubai Corporation for Consumer Protection and Fair Trade.
- Essa Harab Khalifa bin Hadher has been appointed as CEO of the Economic Strategy Sector at the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).
- Sahia Sajjad Ahmed has been named CEO of Regulatory Policy and Governance at Dubai DET.
- Saad Mohammed Al Awadhi has been appointed as CEO of Corporate Support Services at Dubai DET.
- Khaled Hassan Mohammed Mubasheri has been named CEO of the Legislation and Disputes Sector at Dubai DET.
- Yousuf Ahmed Yousuf Abdullah Lootah has been appointed as CEO of Strategy and Corporate Performance at Dubai DET.
All appointments are effective from April 1, 2024, except for Yousuf Ahmed Lootah’s, which will be effective from October 1, 2024.

Essa, Sahia, Saad, Yousuf, and Khaled are the latest C-suite executives to join Dubai DET. Recently, Dr. Marwan Alzarouni was appointed CEO of Artificial Intelligence, as one of the 22 chief AI officers for Dubai government entities.
