Alujain reappoints Khalid Al Dawood as CEO

Saudi Arabia-based Alujain Corporation has reappointed Khalid bin Mohammed Al Dawood as its CEO, effective September 29, 2026, following a brief break in service after he reached the statutory retirement age.

The company’s board decided on September 24 to end the assignment of Mohammed bin Khalid Al-Mutairi as acting CEO at the close of business on September 28. Al-Mutairi, who is the company’s vice president of administrative affairs, will continue in that role.

The decision follows Alujain’s September 13 announcement appointing Al-Mutairi as acting CEO. He had taken over the position temporarily following Al Dawood’s resignation.

According to a Tadawul filing, the board had accepted Al Dawood’s resignation after he reached the statutory retirement age on September 14. The company subsequently agreed with him to resume work within 15 days of the resignation date, following the brief break in service.

With Al Dawood returning as CEO, the interim leadership arrangement will end on September 28.

Al Dawood holds a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and control engineering. His experience spans industrial asset management, economics, engineering and management.

The reappointment means Al Dawood will return to the CEO role just over two weeks after stepping down as part of the retirement-related process.
