Burjeel Holdings has appointed Reuben George Joseph as Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 October 2026, as the GCC healthcare services provider strengthens its financial leadership ahead of its next phase of growth.
Joseph currently serves as General Manager – Transformation at Burjeel Holdings, where he has been involved in strategic finance, capital allocation, corporate development and the group’s transformation agenda.
The appointment is expected to provide continuity in the group’s financial and strategic operations, with Joseph bringing existing knowledge of Burjeel’s businesses and priorities into the CFO role.
A Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of experience, Joseph has worked across financial reporting, controllership and governance, treasury, corporate development and M&A, restructuring, valuation and finance transformation.
Before joining Burjeel Holdings, he served as Chief Financial Officer of VPS Health and has also held board and senior advisory positions.
“Reuben has already been closely involved in several of the Group’s strategic finance and transformation initiatives and has developed a strong understanding of Burjeel’s businesses and goals,” said Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Burjeel Holdings.
He added that Joseph’s appointment brings together financial stewardship, strategic insight and execution capabilities that will be important as the group pursues its growth plans while maintaining financial discipline.
Joseph said his immediate priority would be to ensure a smooth transition and work closely with the group’s finance leadership team. He also said he would focus on advancing Burjeel’s growth strategy and improving operational efficiency.
Muhammed Shihabuddin will remain CFO until 30 September 2026, as previously announced, and will support the transition to the new finance leadership.
The leadership change comes as Burjeel Holdings continues to focus on growth, capital allocation and operational efficiency across its healthcare businesses in the GCC.
