Dubai Holding has appointed Alex Salter as Vice President of Human Resources for its Land Estates business, effective immediately.
Salter announced her appointment on LinkedIn, saying: “I’m pleased to share that I’ve joined Dubai Holding as Vice President, Human Resources for Land Estates. I look forward to partnering with CEO Omar Karim, the leadership team and colleagues across the organisation to build the capabilities, culture and leadership that will support our next phase of growth.”
Most recently, Salter served as Chief People Officer at Abu Dhabi-based Contango, where she was responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive HR strategy, leading an operating model redesign, and introducing career frameworks and compensation initiatives for more than 250 employees.
The appointment comes less than a year after Salter stepped down as CHRO at PwC Middle East, where she spent nearly a decade leading the firm's people strategy across the region.
Salter is widely recognised as one of the region’s most experienced HR leaders, having spent more than 20 years with PwC across the UK and Middle East.
During her tenure as CHRO of PwC Middle East from 2021 to 2025, she oversaw a multicultural HR team of more than 150 professionals and supported workforce strategies across 12 countries and 16 jurisdictions.
Before becoming CHRO, Salter held several senior HR leadership positions at PwC Middle East, including Regional Director of Talent, Performance, Reward & Development and HR Transformation Leader.
Earlier in her career, she worked in a range of talent development and HR leadership roles at PwC UK, helping shape graduate recruitment, professional development, mobility programmes and workforce strategies.
A Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Salter brings extensive expertise in organisational design, talent strategy, leadership development, employee experience, and large-scale workforce transformation to her new role at Dubai Holding.
