EFG International has appointed Ranjit Khanna as Chief Executive Officer of its Dubai Advisory Office, as the Swiss private banking group looks to strengthen its presence in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and expand its business in the UAE.
Khanna will lead the continued development and growth of EFG’s Dubai operations.
He will report to Patrick Ramsey, Head of Continental Europe and Middle East, and work under the strategic leadership of Soha Nashaat, Executive Chairwoman of EFG International Middle East.
In his new role, Khanna will be responsible for advancing EFG’s growth ambitions in the UAE while supporting the execution of the group’s wider Middle East strategy.
Khanna joins EFG with more than three decades of international private banking experience. Before joining the firm, he served as DIFC Chief Executive at Bank of Singapore, where he also led the private banking business serving clients across the Middle East, Europe and Global South Asia.
A Singaporean national, Khanna began his banking career in New York and has held senior leadership positions with Swiss and international financial institutions across Asia and the Middle East.
“His deep regional experience, leadership capabilities and proven track record make him an excellent choice to lead our Dubai Advisory Office,” said Patrick Ramsey, Head of Continental Europe and Middle East at EFG International.
“Dubai remains one of EFG’s most important strategic locations, and I am confident that, working closely with Soha Nashaat and our wider regional leadership team, Ranjit will continue to strengthen our franchise in the UAE and contribute to the successful execution of our broader Middle East strategy,” Ramsey added.
Nashaat said Khanna’s appointment would further strengthen EFG’s leadership team as the company continues to deepen client relationships and expand its capabilities in the region.
“Dubai is central to EFG’s long-term ambitions in the Middle East and continues to play a pivotal role in our regional growth strategy,” she said.
EFG’s Dubai Advisory Office has grown significantly since opening in 2019 and now employs more than 60 professionals serving private banking clients across the region.
The Dubai operation is one of EFG’s key strategic growth hubs and is expected to play a continued role in the group’s expansion across the Middle East.
Khanna’s appointment comes as Dubai strengthens its position as a regional hub for wealth management and private banking, with international financial institutions expanding their presence in the DIFC to serve high-net-worth clients across the region.
