Noble Group SA has appointed Tabrez Khan as Group Head – Human Resources for its Consumer Business Vertical, as the diversified consumer and retail conglomerate continues to scale its presence across Africa and the UAE.
In his new role, Khan will lead the human capital agenda for a workforce of over 6,000 employees across Angola and other Southern African markets. His mandate includes driving organisational effectiveness, strengthening leadership development, shaping talent strategy, and enabling culture transformation across eight consumer-facing business units.
Khan joins Noble Group after a nearly nine-year stint at Bira 91, where he was part of the founding HR team and played a key role in scaling the organisation during a period of rapid growth.
Commenting on his appointment, Khan said, “I am truly excited to be part of an exponentially growing and large-scale organisation like Noble Group, which has built strong consumer brands that resonate deeply across African markets. With the scale, diversity, and impact of the business, the role of HR becomes even more critical in enabling sustainable growth, building leadership pipelines, and fostering a high-performance culture.”
Khan brings over a decade of HR leadership experience, having also worked with organisations such as Max Group Antara and Kellogg's.
On the academic front, he holds a bachelor’s degree in business management, a master’s degree in HR, and a postgraduate diploma in HR management.
The appointment comes at a time when the group is accelerating its growth in emerging markets, reinforcing its ambition to strengthen its position as a leading FMCG and consumer goods player.
