Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF)-owned ROSHN Group has appointed Eng. Naaman Atallah as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2026. He succeeds Eng. Sabah Barakat, who had been serving as Acting Group Chief Executive Officer.
Atallah brings more than three decades of leadership experience in the real estate and development sector, with a career spanning major organisations across the Middle East and North Africa. He has held senior roles at Al-Futtaim Real Estate, Nakheel, Piramal Realty, Dubai Properties, Qatari Diar, Emaar Properties and Solidere.
Atallah most recently served as President of Al-Futtaim Real Estate, a position he took up in February 2025. Before that, he was Group CEO of Nakheel, and previously served as CEO of Piramal Realty and Dubai Properties.
During his tenure at Qatari Diar, Atallah held the roles of Chief Development Officer and Chief Operating Officer. As COO, he co-led a transformation programme that restructured the company’s business model and oversaw an international portfolio of more than 30 projects.
His earlier career includes senior positions at Emaar Properties, where he served as Chief Operating Officer, as well as leadership roles at Emaar Bawadi and Hamptons International.
ROSHN said Atallah’s leadership experience in transforming real estate portfolios, accelerating growth and delivering customer-focused developments will support the group’s growth ambitions and its contribution to urban development and liveability objectives in Saudi Arabia.
ROSHN also thanked Sabah Barakat for his leadership and service during his tenure as Acting Group CEO, saying he leaves behind a strong foundation. Barakat will move to a role at PIF.
The latest CEO appointment follows a series of leadership changes at ROSHN. In September 2025, the group appointed Ghada Othman Alrumayan as Group Chief Shared Services Officer, to lead the centralisation and optimisation of core enterprise functions including human capital, procurement, administration, technology and corporate services.
