Saudi Power Procurement Company has appointed Tarek Ghazzawi as Director of its Human Resources Centre of Excellence, expanding his responsibilities across human capital strategy, organisational development and workforce planning.
Ghazzawi took up the role in July 2026, after serving as the company's Total Rewards & Performance Management Manager for the previous two years.
In his new role, Ghazzawi will contribute to the development of human capital frameworks, strategies and policies aligned with the organisation's broader strategic priorities. His remit covers areas including organisational development, strategic workforce planning, rewards and performance management, talent management and succession planning, as well as employee culture and engagement.
Ghazzawi brings experience spanning human resources, workforce planning, finance and banking across Saudi Arabia and the US. Before joining Saudi Power Procurement Company, he was a Senior Specialist in Rewards & Strategic Workforce Financial Planning at THIQAH Business Services.
He previously spent more than two years at stc, progressing through strategic workforce planning roles. He served as a Strategic Workforce Planning Analyst before stepping into Senior Strategic Workforce Planning Analyst role.
Earlier in his career, Ghazzawi worked at Bank of America in the Greater Philadelphia area as a Relationship Banker for Consumer and Small Business. The experience gave him exposure to financial services and banking, alongside his subsequent career in workforce planning and human capital management.
Across his HR career, Ghazzawi has worked on reward and performance management, workforce planning, organisational development, talent management and succession, employee culture and engagement, and the development of institutional HR frameworks and policies.
His background combines financial analysis and business planning with human capital management, supporting a broader approach to workforce and organisational decisions.
Ghazzawi holds a Master of Science in Financial Services and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Finance from Saint Joseph's University in the US. He has also completed specialised programmes in finance and investment, rewards and human capital management, and leadership and management development.
