TAQA Water Solutions has appointed Dr. Shehab Ahmed Al Muharrami as its Chief Executive Officer, effective 9 September 2026, as the company moves into its next phase of growth and operational development.
Al Muharrami succeeds Dr. Nader Assad Bin Taher, who had been serving as Interim CEO since March 2026. Bin Taher assumed the interim role following the resignation of Eng. Ahmed Al Shamsi, who stepped down as CEO to pursue other opportunities.

Welcoming Al Muharrami to the role, TAQA Water Solutions said his appointment comes as the company continues to strengthen its position in delivering reliable and sustainable water solutions.
The company said it expects Al Muharrami to lead the next phase of its growth while focusing on operational excellence and the continued development of its water solutions business.
TAQA Water Solutions also thanked Bin Taher for his leadership during his tenure as interim CEO and said it looks forward to his continued contribution to the business.
The leadership transition comes as water security, sustainability and operational efficiency remain key priorities across the region, with utilities and water companies facing growing demand for reliable and sustainable water infrastructure.
