Expo 2030 Riyadh has appointed Jawad Abdulsamad as its new Chief Strategy and Integration Officer, strengthening its leadership team as preparations continue for the Kingdom's first World Expo.
In his new role, Abdulsamad will oversee strategy and integration across multiple workstreams and stakeholders, leading key initiatives related to the Expo's long-term legacy, thematic programming, and visitor experience.
He joins Expo 2030 Riyadh with more than 18 years of experience in strategy, organisational transformation, and leadership across both the public and private sectors.
Before taking up the new position, Abdulsamad served as Chief Strategy Officer at Misk Foundation, where he led enterprise strategy, transformation, and strategic planning across the foundation and its portfolio of organisations. His work spanned diverse sectors including real estate, museums and culture, film production, and K-12 education.
Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at leading strategy consulting firms, advising government entities, sovereign investors, and major private sector organizations on national development strategies, giga-projects, and large-scale investment programmes.
Expo 2030 Riyadh said Abdulsamad's expertise will support the event's strategic planning while helping strengthen its long-term economic, social, and cultural legacy.
The appointment underscores Expo 2030 Riyadh's focus on building a leadership team with expertise in large-scale transformation and strategic execution as it prepares to host a world-class event aimed at delivering lasting value for Saudi Arabia and the international community.
