
Amana Cooperative Insurance appoints Rachid Abi Nader as CEO
Amana Cooperative Insurance has appointed Rachid Abi Nader as the Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Sharing the update on Tadawul, the company stated, “The company announces the decision of its Board of Directors dated 26 June 2025 to appoint Mr. Rachid Salim Abi Nader as the company’s CEO. The company obtained the Insurance Authority’s non-objection to the appointment on 28 July 2025.”
Nader was named Managing Director of the company in 2024, and he also served as CEO of Aqeed for over eight years. He has also worked with The Risk Group as Chief Operating Officer, PwC Middle East as Director and Senior Advisor, and Booz Allen Co. as Senior Consultant.
Sharing a brief about Nader, the company added, “Mr. Rachid Abi Nader has over 25 years of experience in the insurance sector across various fields: strategic development, business planning and implementation, insurance program development, marketing, risk management, bancassurance, corporate transformation, services, and digital business, spanning several diverse business lines and countries, including the Middle East, France, the UK, several European countries, and the United States.”

On the academic front, Nader holds an Executive MBA from ESCP Business School, an Executive MBA from ESA Business School, a diploma from the National Insurance Institute (ENASS Paris), and a postgraduate diploma in digital business from Columbia Business School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also completed a CEO Leadership Program at Cornell University.
