Aspetar appoints Mohammed Al-Najjar as Head of Human Capital


Mohammed Al-Najjar brings over a decade of experience across human capital leadership, audit, governance, and strategic planning within Qatar’s public and private sectors.
Aspetar, a leading sports medicine and healthcare organisation, has appointed Mohammed Al-Najjar as its new Head of Human Capital, effective immediately.
Al-Najjar announced his appointment on LinkedIn, sharing, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Human Capital Services!”
He brings over a decade of experience across human capital leadership, audit, governance, and strategic planning within Qatar’s public and private sectors.
Most recently, he served at the State Audit Bureau in Qatar as a Senior Auditor for more than four years. His earlier career includes leadership roles at Qatar Steel Company and Hamad Medical Corporation.
In his new role at Aspetar, Al-Najjar will oversee the full employee lifecycle, culture initiatives, employee relations, and HR operations. He will also lead the strategic implementation of HR technology solutions, including Core HR and payroll systems, supporting the organisation’s focus on operational excellence and compliance.
Al-Najjar’s leadership approach is shaped by his background in audit and planning, enabling him to apply a risk-based, controls-driven mindset to human capital management and end-to-end process optimisation. He is also recognised as a trusted internal advisor on Qatari labour law, immigration, and regulatory compliance.
Academically, Al-Najjar holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corruption, Law, and Governance, along with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Sussex. He has also completed multiple professional certifications in HR, performance management, and human capital management.
Al-Najjar emphasises on building compliant, high-performing, and future-ready workforce frameworks, while fostering a culture of service excellence, collaboration, and accountability in support of Aspetar’s mission as a global leader in sports medicine and healthcare.
