Aster DM Healthcare appoints Mohamed Alshamari as the new Chief Executive Officer of Aster Hospitals and Clinics in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

In his new role, Alshamari brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in KSA's healthcare sector. Most recently, he served as Sports Medicine Advisor to the Ministry of Sport. Prior to that, he held positions such as Chief Economic and Social Development Officer at the Royal Commission for AlUla, General Director at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, Programme Director of the Royal Commission Health Services Program in Jubail, Deputy Chief Operating Officer at MEDGULF Saudi Arabia, Manager of Medical Services at SABIC, and Deputy Director at Saad Specialist Hospital. He also worked with Saad Specialist Hospital and Aramco.

On the academic front, Alshamari holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Services Management, a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from Flinders University, and a Master's degree in Health Management from City, University of London. He also completed a Senior Executive Leadership course at Harvard Business School.

Prior to joining Aster, he served as Sports Medicine Advisor at the Saudi Ministry of Sport. In his new role, Mohamed will oversee planning, strategy, development, growth, service delivery, and key partnerships.”
