Capital.com appoints Mamoon Sbeih as Chief Strategy Officer

Sbeih brings 27 years of experience, and will oversee corporate strategy, government relations and corporate communications.
Capital.com has appointed Mamoon Sbeih as Chief Strategy Officer as the global online trading platform looks to strengthen its corporate strategy, government relations and communications capabilities while expanding into new markets and jurisdictions.
In his new role, Sbeih will oversee corporate strategy, government relations and corporate communications. The appointment comes as Capital.com continues its international expansion and seeks to strengthen the strategic discipline supporting its growth plans.
Sbeih brings 27 years of experience in strategic communications across the Middle East and North Africa. He spent nearly a decade at the World Bank as an External Affairs and Aid Coordination Officer before joining BCW in the UAE in 2003.
He moved to APCO in 2006, where he held several senior leadership positions, including Managing Director of the MENA region and Regional President from 2017. Most recently, he served as Chief International Business Development Officer and MENA Chairman at APCO.
Commenting on the appointment, Viktor Prokopenya, Founder of Capital.com, said: “Mamoon spent two decades building APCO's business across the Middle East. He was Regional President and a widely known figure in regional government relations. That combination of public affairs and strategic communication experience is exactly what we need as Capital.com expands into new markets and jurisdictions.”
Sbeih said his experience working with governments and global businesses would help him contribute to Capital.com’s expansion and communications strategy.
“Capital.com is building something structurally different. It's a platform designed around better decisions, not faster ones. Having spent my career helping governments and global businesses navigate complexity and communicate with precision, I'm looking forward to bringing that same discipline to how we tell Capital.com's story as we grow,” said Sbeih, Chief Strategy Officer at Capital.com.
Capital.com was established in 2016 and operates a technology-led platform providing access to financial markets. The company says its operating model is centred on regulatory compliance, governance and operational discipline, with a focus on supporting informed decision-making.
The company operates across multiple jurisdictions and maintains offices in London, Dubai, Warsaw, Milan, Nassau, Sofia, Limassol and Melbourne. Its regulated entities are overseen by financial authorities in jurisdictions including the UK, Cyprus, Australia, the Bahamas, the UAE and Kenya.
