Cushman & Wakefield appoints Ronita Majumdar Basu as Head of People Partnering for India, SEA and MEA

Basu brings around two decades of global HR leadership experience, having led people strategy across multi-country operations and large capability centres spanning India, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas.
Cushman & Wakefield, a leading real estate company, has appointed Ronita Majumdar Basu as Head of People Partnering for India, South-East Asia, the Middle East and Africa, effective immediately.
In her new role, Basu will lead the firm’s people strategy across these dynamic markets, aligning talent initiatives with business priorities and long-term growth ambitions.
She brings around two decades of global HR leadership experience, having led people strategy across multi-country operations and large capability centres spanning India, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas.
Most recently, Basu worked with JLL as Global People Partner for over two years, and prior to that, she served at HT Media, Citibank India, and GE Capital in key roles. She has been instrumental in shaping and executing scalable, globally aligned people frameworks while balancing local and cultural nuances across diverse markets. Her expertise spans talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, rewards and workforce planning, supporting businesses through phases of growth, transformation and scale-building.

Basu is an alumna of XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, where she completed her post-graduation in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. She also holds a B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Kolkata.
