DHL Express appoints Henry Fares as Manager Director for Qatar

Fares, who most recently served as Vice President of HR for the MENA region, brings over two decades of leadership experience to his new role.

Global logistics company DHL Express has appointed Henry Fares as Country Manager for Qatar, effective immediately. In his new role, Fares brings over two decades of experience. He began his career at DHL in Training and Development and later moved into key leadership positions, including Regional HR Director (Aviation) and Vice President of Human Resources for the MENA region, his most recent role. 

Welcoming Fares in to the leadership role, DHL said, “Henry began his journey with DHL in 2005 within the Human Resources Department in Saudi Arabia. In 2008, he transitioned to Bahrain to assume a regional role at DHL Aviation Middle East & Africa. He later progressed to become Vice President of Human Resources and a member of the DHL Express MENA Management Board. Before entering the logistics sector, he held sales management positions in the manufacturing industry.” 

Adding, “Henry has played an essential role in shaping a workplace culture that supports both organisational performance and employee wellbeing. His visionary leadership has helped establish DHL Express MENA as an employer of choice across the region.” 

Fares expressed, “It is a privilege to embark on this new chapter with DHL Express Qatar. On the academic front, Fares holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management from SDA Bocconi, an MBA and BSc in Business Administration from Lebanese American University.
