Dulsco Group names Abdelrahman M. Abdelaal as Group Chief Information & Technology Officer

Abdelaal brings more than three decades of experience in technology and business leadership, including more than 25 years in executive technology positions.
Dulsco Group has appointed Abdelrahman M. Abdelaal as its new Group Chief Information & Technology Officer (Group CITO), as the company steps up efforts to accelerate digital transformation, strengthen enterprise resilience and expand the use of data and artificial intelligence across its operations.
In his new role, Abdelaal will oversee the group's technology strategy, operations and governance across its portfolio of businesses. His responsibilities will include advancing digital capabilities, enhancing cybersecurity, promoting the responsible use of data and AI, and driving technology-led innovation to support the organisation's long-term growth plans.
The appointment comes as businesses across the UAE and the wider Middle East continue to increase investments in digital technologies to improve operational efficiency, strengthen resilience and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving business environment.
Abdelaal brings more than three decades of experience in technology and business leadership, including more than 25 years in executive technology positions. During his career, he has held leadership roles at International Turnkey Systems, TAMWEEL PJSC, which is now part of Dubai Islamic Bank Group, and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.
He has led large-scale technology transformation programmes across multiple industries, including technology, government, energy, banking, financial services, retail and diversified enterprises throughout the Middle East.
His expertise spans technology strategy, cloud and digital transformation, enterprise architecture, business applications, data and artificial intelligence, IT service management and strategic portfolio management.
Commenting on his appointment, Abdelaal said technology should be evaluated by the value, resilience and opportunities it creates for people, customers and communities.
He said organisations must combine innovation with strong governance, cybersecurity and trusted data as artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries.
