
East Pipes appoints Dr. Mohammed Saleh Ali Darweesh as Acting CEO
East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry, Saudi Arabia’s leading SAW steel pipes manufacturer, has appointed Dr. Mohammed Saleh Ali Darweesh as the Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
The company shared in a filing on Tadawul, “…the Board of Directors’ resolution issued on 29-01-1447H, corresponding to 24-07-2025, which includes the appointment of the Company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Dr. Mohammed Saleh Ali Darweesh, as Acting Chief Executive Officer (alongside his current position as CFO), effective from the date of the Board of Directors’ resolution and until a new Chief Executive Officer is appointed for the Company.”
Darweesh takes over from CEO Eng. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Shaheen, who stepped down from the position in June 2025. Al-Shaheen had held the position since 2021 and cited personal reasons for his resignation. The company stated, “The Board of Directors expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to Eng. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Shaheen for his active role and valuable efforts during his tenure of more than four years with East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry.”
Darweesh has been serving as the CFO of the company since 2021, alongside his role on the Company’s Board of Directors. He brings over 25 years of finance leadership experience to his new role.

On the academic front, he holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the United States, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license from the State of California, USA, and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Cost Accounting.
