Bringing over 30 years of industry leadership experience, Erwin returns to Gulf Craft, where he previously spent more than 16 years, including serving as CEO until 2018.

Leading manufacturer of luxury yachts and leisure boats – Gulf Craft has appointed Erwin Bamps as its new CEO, with immediate effect.

Erwin brings over 30 years of leadership experience across shipbuilding, technology, and executive offices industries. He previously served Gulf Craft for over 16 years, serving as CEO until 2018. After stepping down, he joined Prestige Yachts as Vice President.

Erwin has been a key part of Gulf Craft’s global growth since 2002, bringing deep market knowledge from Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. These regions are now central to the company’s push to compete with long-established shipyards. His appointment comes at a time when Gulf Craft is ramping up production, expanding its range of models, and growing its presence in both established and fast-growing markets.

Welcoming Erwin to the leadership role, Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft said: “Erwin’s return comes at an important time for Gulf Craft, as we continue to focus on strengthening our presence across key global markets.

He knows Gulf Craft well, understands the values that have shaped the company, and brings with him broader international experience that will support our future plans. We look forward to working closely together to build on the foundations we have set in place.”

Erwin also expressed, “Gulf Craft is entering a defining era. With an already solid global footprint and rising brand equity, we are poised to claim greater market share across the full spectrum—from long-range luxury explorers to fully customised superyachts.

The opportunity now is to amplify our global presence, deepen relationships with our clients, and push the boundaries of what Gulf Craft can deliver, without losing sight of the Emirati values and vision that make us unique.”

Erwin will focus on Gulf Craft’s growth strategy in creating high-tech composite construction, design innovation, and tailored customer experiences.
