
Eshraq Investments appoints Tanvir Haque as Acting CEO after Mohamed Al Hashmi resigns
Eshraq Investments, an Abu Dhabi–listed company, has announced the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Al Sayed Al Hashmi, effective immediately.
The company stated, “The Board of Directors would like to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Al Hashmi for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and tireless efforts since being appointed to the role in 2023. Mr. Al Hashmi has been instrumental in leading the successful turnaround of the company during his tenure, enhancing performance, strengthening its market position, and setting Eshraq on a path of sustainable growth and profitability.”
Al Hashmi will continue to serve as a Board Advisor. The company added, “In recognition of his transformational leadership and strategic vision for the company’s long-term success, the Board of Directors has decided to appoint Mr. Al Hashmi as Advisor to the Board, where he will continue to leverage his experience and insights to support both Management and the Board in driving the company’s future growth, success, and value creation.”
To assume CEO responsibilities, the company has named Tanvir Muhammad Haque as Acting CEO.
The company said, “Eshraq Investments PJSC has appointed Tanvir Haque as Chief Strategy Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer, reinforcing its commitment to growth, transformation, and value creation.”
Haque brings more than two decades of leadership experience to his new role. He most recently served Euro Mechanical as an Executive Consultant and Abu Dhabi Airports as Vice President of Risk Management & Business Continuity. He has also held senior positions at Freshstone Consulting, Lifecare International, Espresso Telecom, Standard Chartered, Andersen, QCO International, and PwC.

Academically, Haque holds an MBA from Bayes Business School, a BCom in Accounting and Finance from The Australian National University, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
