FedEx appoints Abdulrahman AlMubarak as Managing Director - Ops for Saudi Arabia

In his new role, Abdulrahman AlMubarak brings a wealth of aviation and logistics industry expertise to drive FedEx's regional growth and expansion.

FedEx Corporation, a global transportation and logistics company, has announced the appointment of Abdulrahman AlMubarak as its new Managing Director of Operations for Saudi Arabia, effective immediately.

In his new role, Abdulrahman brings over 15 years of leadership experience in the aviation and logistics industry. He joined FedEx Middle East in 2022 as the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to that, he served as CEO of the King Fahd Causeway Authority, Deputy Governor for Postal Services at the Communications, Space & Technology Commission, and Vice President of Business Development at Saudi Arabian Logistics. He also held key roles at Saudi Cargo, Dammam Airports Company, and the General Authority of Civil Aviation - Saudi Arabia. He began his career with Changi Airports International, gaining global experience in the Singapore region.

Academically, Abdulrahman holds an LLM in International Business Law from the University of Essex, a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business from Columbia Business School, a BBA in Marketing from The Open University, and several licenses and certifications in Leadership, Artificial Intelligence, Human Capital, and Digital Business.

Welcoming Abdulrahman to the new role, Taarek Hinedi, Vice President of FedEx Middle East and Africa Operations, said, “The Middle East’s growing prominence as a global logistics hub indicates significant trade and expansion opportunities for businesses to capitalise on. With his extensive experience in the logistics industry, Abdulrahman will play an integral role in unlocking these opportunities for our customers. As Managing Director, Abdulrahman will lead strategy and planning for our constantly evolving operations in key markets and help customers accelerate their growth through enhanced access to global markets.”

Abdulrahman also expressed, “It is an honor to be part of the FedEx family and to work with such an incredible team. As we look to the future, I am focused on fostering stronger collaborations with authorities, enhancing our services and connectivity, and enabling local businesses to harness the full potential of global trade.”
