
Google appoints Sultan Altukhaim as Head of Security, Compliance & Cloud CISO for Saudi Arabia

Google has appointed Sultan Altukhaim as the Head of Security, Compliance & Cloud CISO for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, effective immediately.
Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Altukhaim posted, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Security and Compliance, Cloud CISO at Google!”
He brings over 25 years of information security leadership experience to his new role. Most recently, he served the Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST) as the General Manager of Cybersecurity and Data Governance for over three years.
He also serves as a key member of the board risk committees of Tasheel Finance, American Express Business KSA, Arab National Bank, and is a MISK Vision 2030 Leader for the Saudi Leadership Society.
In his previous roles, Altukhaim worked with The Saudi Investment Bank as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the Capital Market Authority as the CISO & Risk Management Director, and Innovative Solutions KSA as the VP of Cybersecurity Solutions.

He also worked with Boeing, the Florida Institute of Technology, Saudi Telecom Company (STC), and the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) at the beginning of his career.
On the academic front, he holds MSc and BSc degrees in Information Systems from King Saud University, an MSc in Engineering Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, and has completed an executive education program at Harvard Business School.
He has also completed key leadership programs from INSEAD, London Business School, Esade, and ISACA.
