IMCD N.V., a chemicals and ingredients distribution company, has announced the appointment of Andreas Igerl as Regional President for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), effective September 1, 2025, and as Leader of the global Industrial Business Groups, with effect to be progressively implemented throughout 2025.

Igerl is currently the Regional President APAC and a member of the IMCD Executive Committee. Under his leadership, APAC has achieved strong performance, successfully executed strategic initiatives, and fostered greater cross-team integration, the company said in an official statement.

As Regional President EMEA, Igerl will take on the responsibility of accelerating growth in EMEA and further strengthening regional coordination, as well as the rollout of best practices, digital tools, and commercial and operational excellence programmes. The new EMEA leadership is being established to support IMCD’s growth and simplify execution across more than 30 countries in the region, the company said.

In parallel, the global Industrial Business Groups’ Directors of IMCD will progressively come under the leadership of Andreas throughout 2025, further supporting stronger strategic alignment, enabling faster implementation of shared priorities, and increasing cross-fertilisation between markets. 

According to the company, these changes reflect IMCD’s continued focus on speed, efficiency and customer and supplier centricity as it grows across geographies and industries.
