Investcorp appoints Mashaal AlJomaih as CEO
Investcorp, a leading global alternative investment firm, has announced the appointment of Mashaal AlJomaih as its CEO for Saudi Arabia, effective immediately.
Mashaal joined Investcorp in 2022 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer before taking on the role of Managing Director. He succeeds Yasser Bajsair, who is stepping down after nearly 15 years of dedicated service. Yasser was instrumental in expanding Investcorp’s presence in Saudi Arabia. Having worked closely with Yasser since 2022, Mashaal is well-positioned to ensure a smooth transition and continued success for the business.
Mashaal brings over two decades of industry leadership experience to his new role. He previously served as Managing Director at BNP Paribas in Saudi Arabia, co-founded Darin Partners, and spent nearly 12 years with JP Morgan, working across the UK, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
Investcorp has also named Nahar Houthan as the new Deputy CEO, succeeding Mashaal in this role.
Yusef Al Yusef, Global Head of Distribution at Investcorp, welcomed the leadership changes, saying: “Mashaal has played a critical role in driving the growth of our business in Saudi Arabia over the past two years. Having worked closely with him, I am confident he will lead Investcorp’s continued expansion in the Kingdom with his deep knowledge and understanding of the local market.”
