Legrand appoints Sarah Abdel Zaher as HR Director

Legrand, a global leader in electrical and digital building infrastructures, has appointed Sarah Abdel Zaher as Human Resources Director, effective immediately.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Zaher expressed enthusiasm about joining the company and embarking on a new phase in her career.

“I’m excited to share that I have joined Legrand as HR Director. As one of the global leaders in electrical and digital building infrastructures, Legrand’s legacy, innovation, and impact make this an exciting new chapter for me,” she wrote.

Reflecting on her professional journey, Zaher added, “I’m grateful for the journey that has brought me here, for the experiences that have shaped me, and for the incredible people I’ve had the privilege to work with along the way. Excited for what lies ahead!”

Zaher brings more than 15 years of experience in human resources, talent management, organisational development, and employee engagement across diverse industries, including consumer goods, manufacturing, and consulting.

Prior to joining Legrand, she served as Head of People & Performance (HR) – Africa & Trading at Kraft Heinz, a role she held since September 2025. She initially joined the company in October 2023 as North Africa HR & Internal Communications Manager, where she played a key role in driving people strategies and strengthening internal communications across the region.

Before Kraft Heinz, Zaher spent over eight years with Danone, progressing through several HR leadership positions. Her tenure included roles such as HR Business Partner for Operations covering manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and quality functions, Learning and Talent Development Manager, and Senior HR Generalist supporting commercial, supply chain, medical, and health affairs teams.

Earlier in her career, she worked as a Human Resources Coordinator at Cedar White Bradley and as a Recruitment Consultant at Antal International Network, building a strong foundation in talent acquisition and workforce management.

Zaher holds an HR Diploma from The American University in Cairo and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Misr International University.

In her new role at Legrand, she is expected to lead the company’s human resources agenda, focusing on talent development, organisational culture, employee experience, and workforce capability as the organisation continues to strengthen its presence in the region.
