Lifera appoints Dr. Fadi Al-Buhairan as Group CEO to drive biopharma growth

Dr. Al-Buhairan brings more than 25 years of experience spanning healthcare, logistics, and digital technology across both public and private sectors.
Saudi Arabia’s life sciences company Lifera has announced the appointment of Dr. Fadi Al-Buhairan as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, marking a strategic leadership move as the Kingdom accelerates its ambitions in the biopharmaceutical sector.
Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Al-Buhairan said, “It is a privilege to take on this role at such an exciting chapter in Lifera’s story. I look forward to working with Lifera colleagues, the Board of Directors, PIF, our partners, and the Saudi government to advance Lifera’s capabilities and support the rapid growth of Saudi Arabia’s biopharma sector.”
Dr. Al-Buhairan brings more than 25 years of experience spanning healthcare, logistics, and digital technology across both public and private sectors. Prior to joining Lifera, he served as CEO of SILZ, where he led the development of Riyadh Integrated, the Kingdom’s first airport-based special integrated logistics free trade zone.
His leadership portfolio also includes key board and advisory roles, including Chairman of InfinitePL, board member at NUPCO and SAPTCO, as well as a member of the Risk and Cyber Security Committee at Manafith.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Al-Buhairan played a pivotal role in transforming Saudi Post Logistics and Naqel Express, serving as Deputy CEO and Acting CEO respectively. He also spent over a decade in consulting, including leadership roles at PwC and EY, where he was MENA Partner and General Manager of the KSA Consulting Practice.
Academically, he is a former Assistant Professor of Health Informatics, holding a PhD in Information Systems and Technologies along with two master’s degrees in related fields.
