Mark Andrea joins SMLC PepsiCo as Chief Business Transformation Officer

Andrea returns to SMLC PepsiCo after more than two years as Senior Finance Director and Group Controller at Badael Company.

SMLC PepsiCo has appointed Mark Andrea as Chief Business Transformation Officer, effective October 2026, as the PepsiCo bottling company continues to focus on business transformation and operational growth.


Andrea announced the appointment on LinkedIn, "I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Business Transformation Officer at SMLC PepsiCo!"


He returns to SMLC PepsiCo after more than two years as Senior Finance Director and Group Controller at Badael Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. During his tenure, he worked on manufacturing and capital expenditure projects, ERP implementation, finance organisation development, treasury and corporate policy initiatives.


Andrea previously spent nearly seven years with SMLC PepsiCo across finance and planning roles. He joined the company as Financial Controller in 2015.


He also served as Financial Planning Manager for GCC Beverages at PepsiCo in Jeddah and earlier as Internal Audit Manager for the GCC Beverages business. He began his PepsiCo career as a Senior Internal Auditor for the GCC Foods business in 2010.


His earlier career included nearly five years at KPMG, where he worked on audit engagements across banking, manufacturing, construction, trading and other sectors in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.


Andrea also spent three years as Senior Finance Director at Al Safi Danone, where he led finance control across five legal entities in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Iraq, while overseeing financial planning, treasury, risk management and revenue management initiatives.


In his new role, Andrea brings experience spanning finance, business planning, internal controls, ERP transformation, revenue management, manufacturing and strategic projects.


He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from Notre Dame University, an Executive MBA from Lebanese American University, and professional certifications including CPA, Certified Internal Auditor and Certification in Risk Management Assurance. He also completed a certificate in M&A and Corporate Development Strategies from the University of Pennsylvania.


SMLC PepsiCo, is a Pepsi franchisee and bottler operating in the Levant. PepsiCo acquired more than one-third of SMLC’s shares in 2001, with the remaining shares held by the Assaf family.
