MEMF Electrical Industries appoints Abdullah Alharbi as Vice President of Human Capital & Shared Services

Alharbi joined MEMF in 2020, and served a strategic business partner, driving organisational performance and operational excellence while supporting a workforce of over 1,000 employees.

MEMF Electrical Industries has appointed Abdullah Alharbi as its Vice President – Human Capital & Shared Services, effective immediately.


Alharbi joined MEMF Electrical Industries in 2020 as HR and Support Services Director, where he became a key member of the senior leadership team. In this role, he served as a strategic business partner, driving organisational performance and operational excellence while supporting a workforce of over 1,000 employees.


His responsibilities span seven critical functions including, HR, Administration, IT, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Security, Logistics, and Facilities, playing a central role in the company’s transformation and long-term growth.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Alharbi said he was grateful for the trust placed in him and looked forward to continuing his journey with the organisation. He highlighted his focus on delivering sustainable impact through people, leadership, and effective shared services.


Over the years, Alharbi has led the development and execution of HR strategies aligned with MEMF’s business objectives. His work has included organisational restructuring, annual manpower planning, Saudization strategies, local and overseas recruitment, and the creation of salary scales and grading frameworks. He has overseen compensation and benefits, employee relations, medical insurance policies, and contract negotiations, in addition to leading performance management, salary reviews, training needs analysis, and capability-building programmes.


Alharbi has driven HR digital transformation by upgrading and optimising the HR ERP system, improving process efficiency and reporting through automation. He has also designed and implemented HR policies in line with labour laws and regulatory requirements, managed labour legal cases, and led compliance initiatives.


Beyond HR, his leadership of shared services has ensured seamless business operations across administration, logistics, facilities, IT, HSE, and security. This includes overseeing IT projects, implementing HSE programmes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing security operations to safeguard employees and company assets across all locations.


Alharbi brings over 30 years of HR and leadership experience, having previously held senior roles at BAG HR Consulting, Alfanar as HR & Administration Director, AlJomaih Bottling Plants as HR Manager, and Qassim Cement Company as HR Supervisor.


A seasoned senior executive, Alharbi is widely recognised for transforming human capital and shared services functions across FMCG, construction, and electrical industries, aligning people, culture, and business priorities to drive operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and sustainable growth.


Academically, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from King Saud University.
