Oman Cement Company has appointed Jiang Tao as its Chief Executive Officer, effective 26 October 2026, formalising his leadership after nearly 11 months as acting CEO.

The appointment was approved through a board resolution passed on 25 October, according to a company disclosure filed with the Muscat Stock Exchange.

“Oman Cement Company extends its sincere congratulations to Mr. Jiang Tao on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer, wishing him continued success in driving the company’s growth and excellence,” the company said.

Tao joined Oman Cement Company in September 2025 and has held several operational leadership responsibilities. He was appointed Acting CEO effective November 30, 2025, following the termination of Zhu Yaping, whose services ended on the same date as the company sought executive leadership aligned with its strategic plans.

Before taking on the acting CEO role, Tao served as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the operational performance of the company’s cement manufacturing business. His responsibilities included plant operations, production processes, quality control, supply chain management, maintenance and safety, with a focus on operational efficiency, cost management and regulatory compliance.

Tao brings 16 years of professional experience, having held key management positions across the cement, concrete and environmental engineering divisions of Huaxin Group.

He holds a master’s degree in Business Engineering and Project Management from Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in France and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology from Wuhan University of Technology in China.

The appointment places an executive with experience in cement manufacturing and operational management at the helm of Oman Cement as the company continues to pursue its strategic priorities.
