Zora will steer Philips’ regional growth strategy, strengthen partnerships with governments and healthcare providers, and expand the company’s portfolio of advanced health technologies across the continuum of care.

Philips has announced the appointment of long-time executive Marc Zora as Chief Executive Officer for its Middle East, Türkiye and Africa (META) region, effective April 1, 2026, as the health technology major looks to deepen its regional footprint and accelerate healthcare transformation.

The leadership change comes at a pivotal moment for the META region, where healthcare systems are undergoing rapid modernisation driven by rising demand, digitalisation, and a growing push for more efficient, patient-centred care models.

Zora, a 15-year veteran of Philips, has held multiple senior leadership roles across key markets. He began his journey with the company in 2011 as an International Key Account Manager and went on to become Philips’ first General Manager for Qatar.

He later served as District Leader for the Gulf & Levant, and most recently led the Image Guided Therapy business across META.

In his new role, Zora is expected to steer Philips’ regional growth strategy, strengthen partnerships with governments and healthcare providers, and expand the company’s portfolio of advanced health technologies across the continuum of care.

“This is a defining moment for healthcare across the META region, where rapid transformation is creating both urgency and opportunity,” Zora said.

“Having worked alongside our customers and partners for over 15 years, I have seen firsthand the resilience and ambition shaping this region. Philips is uniquely positioned to support this momentum, by delivering innovations that improve outcomes, expand access, and ease the burden on care providers. My priority is to accelerate this impact, deepen our partnerships, and help build more sustainable, patient-centered health systems at scale.”

Philips has maintained a presence in the region for more than 90 years, working closely with healthcare providers, governments, and institutions to deliver solutions across diagnostics, treatment, and patient care.

The company said the appointment reinforces its long-term commitment to the META region and its focus on strengthening local partnerships while tailoring innovations to address evolving healthcare priorities across diverse markets.
