
PIF appoints Thamir Alsadoun as Deputy CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh
The Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, has appointed Thamir Alsadoun as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of its newly launched company for Expo 2030 Riyadh, effective immediately.
Alsadoun shared the news on LinkedIn: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Deputy CEO at Expo 2030 Riyadh Company!”
He brings over three decades of leadership experience to his new role. Before this appointment, he served as CEO of the National Transformation Program, a Vision Realization Program under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. He also serves as a key member of the Real Estate Registry’s board and as chairman of the nomination and remuneration committee.
In his previous roles, Alsadoun worked with the Delivery and Rapid Intervention Center (DRIC) as Director General and with Saudi Aramco as a Lead Project Engineer.
He will be working closely with Expo 2030 Riyadh’s newly appointed CEO, Talal Al-Marri, supporting PIF’s strategic goals for achieving economic impact for the Kingdom.

On the academic front, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. He has also completed management and executive leadership programs at Stanford University, INSEAD, and IESE Business School.
