PIF names new Head of Investment Strategy & Economic Insights

The Public Investment Fund, Saudi Arabia’s leading wealth fund, has announced the appointment of Fahad AlSaif as Head of the Investment Strategy & Economic Insights Division, with immediate effect.
In his new role, Fahad brings over two decades of extensive experience in the region’s finance sector. He will spearhead PIF's overall investment strategy in alignment with market trends, sustainability, and net-zero strategies. He will oversee the new division’s economic research and advanced analytics to enable effective decision-making for PIF’s leadership.
In addition to his new responsibilities, he will continue as the Head of the Global Capital Finance Division, overseeing financing activities, including capital finance strategy development, government asset transfer projects, capital raising and structuring, funding advisory, and financial institutions and investor relationship management.

Prior to joining PIF, Fahad served as CEO and board member of the National Debt Management Center and as Advisor to H.E. the Minister of Finance. He also worked with HSBC Group in several leadership roles, including Deputy Managing Director, General Manager - Global Banking & Markets, Managing Director - Head of Capital Markets & Corporate Finance, and Head of Treasury Risks Advisory.
On the academic front, Fahad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in MIS from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. His core competencies include financial advisory, investment banking, portfolio management, trading, risk advisory, capital markets, corporate finance, structured finance, and financial risk management.
