Qatar Financial Centre appoints Mansoor Rashid Al-Khater as new CEO

Al-Khater brings over 28 years of experience and will lead QFC’s growth, reinforce its global standing, and support Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and economic diversification goals.
The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has appointed Mansoor Rashid Al-Khater as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
In his new role, Al-Khater succeeds Yousuf Mohamed Al-Jaida, who stepped down after over 11 years of service. Announcing the leadership transitition, Al-Jaida said, "After almost 11 years serving as CEO of the Qatar Financial Centre, I will be concluding my tenure with the QFC.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the confidence, cooperation, and engagement you have all extended to the QFC over the years."
Adding, "Our collective efforts have contributed to strengthening Qatar’s position as an internationally respected financial and business centre, underpinned by more than 4000 companies, 13,000 jobs, 60 billion dollars in Assets, strong regulatory foundations and a commitment to sustainable growth.
As I step aside, I do so with great respect for the institution and gratitude for the professional relationships we have developed. I wish you and the QFC continued success in the years ahead."
Al-Khater brings more than 28 years of experience across leadership, strategy, and transformation roles, and he will lead QFC’s strategic agenda, strengthen its position as a trusted international financial hub, and ensure alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030, supporting the country’s broader economic diversification goals.
Working closely with the executive management team, Al-Khater will oversee initiatives focused on financial services development, wealth attraction, and digital transformation, positioning the Centre, and Qatar, as a preferred destination for global business growth.
Prior to joining QFC, Al-Khater served as CEO of Ooredoo Tunisia, where he led company-wide transformation and drove operational performance improvements. He has also held senior roles within the Ooredoo Group and spent 11 years at Qatar Petroleum.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ooredoo Algeria and has previously served on the boards of Arabsat, Al Jazeera Network, and Qatar Museums Authority, underscoring his extensive governance and leadership background.
On the academic front, Al-Khater holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Qatar University, an MBA from Hull University, and a master’s degree in Emergency & Disaster Management from Georgetown University.
